A New Year with New Vision

Here it is a New Year already; in fact, an entire decade has been completed and a new one has commenced.

Where had you envisioned yourself being in the year 2020? I remember freaking out as a kid thinking that in the year 2000, I would be 38 years old and life would be over because I would be so old. And now here it is 20 years pass that!

Every year we have an opportunity to renew and refresh our vision for the new year that is ahead. Here are a few verses to ponder as you look forward to 2020!

  • Ephesians 5:15–16 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.

  • Matthew 6:33–34 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

  • Philippians 3:12–14 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

  • Matthew 22:37–38 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment.

Happy New Year Church Family. I look forward to us praying together!
