Church Family, it is so good to be back home!

Robyn and I had a wonderful time on the “Love Like You Meant It Cruise” with Family Life. We had the privilege of serving and encouraging families from all over the world! And yes, we got to relax as well. I came back a few pounds heavier and a few shades darker.

Though being on a Cruise ship is an incredible experience it is far from being reality. The truth is that we are not living life on a luxury liner but on a battleship; a warcraft carrier that is in constant battle. Our “Commander in Chief”, has left us marching orders that we need to be reminded of daily. We are to be ready with the armor of God...on the alert... remembering who we are...operating in our positions...representing our heavenly country...taking ‘captives’ from every nation, tribe and tongue...listening for orders...empowered by the strength He supplies...Ephesians 6:10-20; 1Peter 5:8; Ephesian 2:10; Romans 12:3-8; 2 Corinthians 5:16-21; Matthew 28:18-20 & 24:14; Acts 1:8!

So, Family...fellow soldiers, how have you been doing in the battle? Tired? Discouraged? MIA? Fighting hard? Focused? Waiting for orders? No matter where you are today, don’t forget that you are not alone in the battle. You not only have fellow soldiers with you but you have the Lord of the Armies of Heaven fighting for You!!!

Let’s say like David when fighting Goliath...

Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 1 Samuel 17:45 ...47 and that all this assembly may know that the LORD saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the LORD’s, and he will give you into our hand.” 1 Samuel 17:47

See you on Sunday, where I will give you more battle plans for our church!
