Nashville Tornado Relief.

Hey Church Family!

Many have you have asked how you can be involved in the Tornado Relief around town. As of right now we do not have an official church relief response coordinated but we are encouraging our body to get involved in the relief effort individually and as MC groups in whatever way makes most sense. Below are various ways that you can help.

  1. Donating Goods: feel free to bring items to the church. Let’s gather items in the fellowship hall. We will distribute them to the different collection sites throughout the week. Here is a list of needed items: toiletries, water, formula, personal hygiene, heavy-duty trash bags, and snacks. Please note, we will not be collecting clothing.

  2. Monetary Donations: The United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties is offering a giving opportunity to help affected areas.

A relief fund has been established and donations may be made by one of the following methods:
    • Text RELIEF2020 to 41444
    • Give online HERE
    • By check to P.O. Box 330056, Murfreesboro, TN 37133 (please write RELIEF2020 on memo line)

UWRCC will work with neighboring United Ways and the local American Red Cross to determine the appropriation of funds. 100% of funds received for relief effort will be used to address related needs throughout middle Tennessee.

  3. Boots on the ground service: If you are interested in jumping in to serve for the day, you can get involved through Samaritan’s Purse.
